Request Library Instruction Support

The Library offers two varieties of instruction services: Synchronous Library Instruction for classes and Meet with a Librarian consultations for individuals or small groups.
Synchronous Library Instruction sessions are held during your regularly scheduled class time, either online or in-person. Please provide at least two weeks’ notice so we can prepare a session tailored to your research assignment. We recommend students have a research assignment because these sessions are designed to be interactive, which is why they are only available synchronously. Instructors are required to attend instruction sessions.
Meet with a Librarian appointments are 30-minute consultations where students receive research help from a librarian either 1-on-1 or with a small group. If you would like to offer extra credit or require students to attend a consultation, you can have students submit their consultation follow-up email as proof of attendance.
If you have questions or specific information you would like covered in students' Meet with a Librarian appointments, let us know in the Additional Comments. Your liasion librarian will follow up with you to fulfill your request and answer any questions.
