Borrowing Technology from the NS Library

The Marydean Martin Library has a variety of technology items available for check out to all Nevada State students, faculty, and staff.

A Nevada State ID card is required to check out technology. Some technology (such as laptops or Chromebooks) is limited to one item per person.

By checking out technology from the Marydean Martin Library you agree to the following:

• By checking out library technology you are assuming responsibility for that technology until you return it. If the technology is lost, damaged, or stolen you will need to pay the replacement or repair costs of the item. You can find information on an item's replacement cost by selecting the item type from the tab menu on the left.

• Damage does not include normal wear and tear. Repair costs for damage will be assessed by the Office of Information Technology Services.

• Please return technology on time. Late technology will be marked as lost and generate a bill for the replacement cost of the item. This may cause a hold to be placed on your student account.

• Technology cannot be renewed over the phone or online.

• All technology and accompanying accessories must be returned directly to a library staff person at the library service desk.

• After technology is returned it may not be available for immediate renewal due to the need for updates and regular maintenance.

• Please log out of all personal accounts (i.e., iCloud, iTunes, Google, Amazon) prior to returning the device. The Marydean Martin Library is not responsible for any lost files or unauthorized transactions.

Windows Laptops

Windows Laptops are available for 14-day check out and can be requested at the Library front desk.

• Laptops must be signed into for the first time while the device is physically present on the campus WiFi network.

• Do not shut down your laptop as it will disconnect you from the network and you will lose access

• Laptops will automatically lock when overdue. The only way to unlock it is by returning it
